Social, Emotional, and Technical (SET) determinants of work

Being the best fit at work goes well beyond basic personality traits, intellect, and physical ability.  The internal determinants of work (based on the individual) must align with the external determinants of work (based on the organization and system within which it operates).  For example, the social needs of an individual for meeting caregiving obligations outside of work must align with the both the written policies and actual practices of the organization.
